Access Permits Kotka
Moving in the Port area requires an automatic access control system access permit granted by the Port or an authority empowered by the Port. Anyone trying to access or move in the area must produce ID when asked and give a reason for visiting the Port.
Vehicles will not be allowed inside the Port without advance notice. A temporary permit will be granted based on the advance information given on the transportation or visitor.
Transporting companies and visitors must obtain an access permit for vehicles via the company they are transporting the cargo to or from, or the company where the visitor is headed. An access permit is usually individual, with the possibility for vehicle-based permits for company vehicles.
Temporary Access Permit
A temporary access permit authorises one single visit into the industrial or Port area.
The company the client is visiting grants the access permit. Businesses in the Port have the opportunity to insert an access permit beforehand into the access permit system, in which case entry into the port is flexible and does not require stopping at the gate. Optionally, the guard at the information point can submit the permit into the system according to the advance information. Vehicles arriving without advance information must explain their business at the information point.
Advance information on vessels, visitors and transportations is given via the advance information forms. Information on transportation must be given at least a day before the transportation will arrive to give enough time for the submission of the information into the system.
